A MAN who has dedicated his life to helping Wiltshire residents access apprenticeships and upskill in their careers has been honoured with a special award.

Michael Steel, the owner of Yuzu Training, has been given a High Sheriff award, which give recognition to individual volunteers, groups and public servants who are making a significant contribution to society and their communities.

His recent collaboration with Costa Coffee stores in Wiltshire has helped to create pathways from entry-level apprenticeships in hospitality to high-level management apprenticeships, which has changed the game for hundreds of coffee shop workers.

He said: "To the team at Royal Wootton Bassett and to those who nominated us for this prestigious award, thank you for being part of our journey.
