The Brunel Rooms has had its lease revoked after management failed to pay their rent, the Adver understands.

The troubled club has now been forcibly closed by the property’s owners. Units in the Brunel Centre are controlled by FI Real Estate Management, who moved in this week to take control of the building back.

James Raspin of FI Real Estate Management said: "We can confirm that we have revoked the lease of The Brunel Rooms and have now taken back possession of the property.

"We have been forced into taking this course of action because rent hasn’t been paid."

The Adver has been attempting to contact the club but has been unable to reach management so far.

On its Twitter, feed @BrunelRooms, a spokesman for the club said: "We are closed for the next two weeks for restructuring of the business."
