A MONTH-long programme of activities has been organised by Swindon Libraries and Information Service to prolong the celebrations associated with National Libraries Day.
The festivities are a great chance for people to find out more about what their local library has to offer. And everyone who joins Swindon Libraries during February will be entered into a prize draw to win a £25 voucher for a trip with Barnes Coaches.
National Libraries Day is being held on Saturday, February 8 and there will be a host of celebrations taking place in libraries across the town.
For details of all the events at the Central Library call 01793 463782.
Library users can also take a blind date and fall in love with a great new author, genre or hobby throughout February by trying one of the ‘mystery’ books at Covingham, Even Swindon, Highworth, Liden, Moredon, Penhill, Pinetrees and Upper Stratton Libraries.
Other events taking place include family history drop-in sessions at Highworth Library and Moredon and Rodbourne Cheney Library, a Baby Boppers session at North Swindon Library.
Details of all the events taking place during February can be found at www.swindonlibraries.wordpress.com.
