WANBOROUGH Paralympian Louise Hunt is backing a event that showcases opportunities for sport and leisure that disabled people can have access to.

The wheelchair tennis players is supporting the event, organised by the Wiltshire Centre of Independent Living, at Marlborough Leisure Centre on March 8 from 10am.

It aims to break down the barriers that restrict disabled and older people from participating in activities within their community and forge stronger community connections.

Wiltshire CIL is working with Wiltshire Council to organise the event and will have a range of exhibitors including sports teams and community groups.

There will also be a chance to see activities such as wheelchair tennis in action.

This will be the first time an event of this nature has taken place within Wiltshire and it is hoped it will be a catalyst for real change when it comes to disabled people using the facilities in their community in a positive way Anyone interested can email matt@wiltshirecil.org.uk or call 01380 725400.
