ARTSITE’S invited associates are exhibiting their latest works at the Postmodern gallery for the next two weeks.

The exhibition will run at the Theatre Square gallery until April 19 and was well received by visitors over its opening weekend.

It features a variety of work, from a mosaic chair by Lynette Thomas to a copper sculpture by Liam Shartridge.

Volunteer Vicky Silver said the gallery had been well attended.

“We invite our associates to show off their work here and we had about 20 pieces in total,” she said.

“We’ve always had associates but now we are looking at starting a friends group too, to help out and volunteer now and again.

“They can pay £5 for membership and they will get invites to all our events.

“We have also started an social gathering of artists on the first Monday of every month at the Beehive from 7.30pm.”

Artsite runs a variety of workshops including ceramics on Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm and Wednesdays 11am to 1pm, with beginner’s classes for hand-building techniques costing £15 per session .
