CHALLENGERS still have a few days left to enter Swindon North Rotary Club’s Swimathon, in aid of Prospect Hospice.

The day-long event will take place on Saturday, April 26 at Next Generation Fitness Centre and see teams swim as many lengths as possible to raise funds for the Wroughton hospice, as well as another charity of their choice.

Each group will swim for 55 minutes – just one member at a time. The Rotary Club will distribute the sponsorship money 50/50 between Prospect Hospice and each team’s preferred charity.

Ken Winslow, from the Rotary club, said: “It’s neither a race nor a marathon. It doesn’t matter how fast or how fit you are, everyone can take part, as long as you complete as many lengths as you can.”

“Everyone will receive a medal and certificate to verify the number of lengths swum.”

The swimathon will start at noon.
