A 15-year-old boy has been assaulted and robbed by a gang of 10 young men while walking along an alleyway between Dorcan School and the Patheon building last month.

Just before 6pm on Sunday, March 30, the boy saw a group at the rear of Dorcan Leisure Centre. As he passed the group he was grabbed from behind. He was assaulted and his iPhone was stolen.

The main suspect is described as a mixed race male, aged around 19. He was approximately 5ft 6 tall and of broad build. He was wearing grey baggy tracksuit bottoms, white Air Max trainers, with a black Adidas hooded top with two white stripes going down the arms.

He was also wearing a black ‘morph’ style mask which covered his face.

Other members of the group were also wearing these masks in different colours.

The victim did not sustain any serious injury but was shaken by the incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact DC Kirsty Wilson of the Priority Crime Team at Gablecross Police Station via 101, or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously.

Let's hope they catch them.... thugs like that make my blood boil when they attack an innocent young lad! Clearly cowards who are brave in a group but no doubt gutless when on their own!
