A CONTRACTOR working on the roof of The Link Centre fell and broke his wrist on Tuesday morning.
The man, 56, was carrying out a routine inspection of the roof of the centre, in Whitehill Way, when he slipped at 9.36am.
An ambulance was called but paramedics couldn’t get the man down so called for firefighters to help.
A crew from Westlea Fire Station attended and helped to get the man down by around 10.10am.
He was then taken by ambulance for treatment at Great Western Hospital.
