THE inquest into the death of teenager Ashley Mckinnon will be held today.
Ashley was just 17 when he fell from the Wyvern Car Park on February 13 this year.
Since Ashley's death, a bench dedicated to his memory has been erected in Queens Park after his friends and girlfriend raised hundreds of pounds for the permanent memorial.
The plaque on the bench reads: “Ashley McKinnon, 1996 – 2014. ‘Loyalty makes family.’ All our love, your girlfriend and friends.”
Speaking at the time of her boyfriend's death, his girlfriend said: “My world has stopped whilst everyone else’s keeps going. I have lost my best friend, my everything.”
“He wasn’t struggling to make me happy. We made each other very happy.
“He was never that unhappy."
