Police have issued a badger warning

First published in News

A CYCLIST had a close shave with a badger on the path by Thamesdown Drive this week.

The badger rushed out of the undergrowth and attacked the cyclist.

Badgers can be territorial, bold and very hostile and Wiltshire Police urge people to be wary of the creatures at night.

You say repeatedly - it doesn't bother you and you just laugh at it! But as is obvious to everyone, it DOES bother you immensely - you never stop talking about it! Just get a life!

I've looked that the identikit picture and am sure that I recognise that badger. Don't the police have any very grainy low resolution black and white CCTV cameras photos showing a badger wearing a hoodie?

The message system is used by Newsquest Newspapers throughout the UK - it's not controlled by the Adver 'moderator'. Do you purchase the Adver? If not then how much do you think Newsquest care about your concerns? It's an anonymous voting system and works the only way an anonymous system can. So just live with it + there really are more important things in life.

A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of badgers. He pulls the guy over and says... "You can't drive around with badgers in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately." The guy says "OK"... and drives away.

The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of badgers, and they're all wearing sun glasses. He pulls the guy over and demands... "I thought I told you to take these badgers to the zoo yesterday?"

The guy replies... "I did . . . today I'm taking them to the beach!"

GOVERNMENT forces have fallen back from positions in Swindon and Wiltshire, abandoning the town to the Badger Army.

The news the Adver doesn't want to tell you.....
The Department of Agriculture has cancelled planned new fronts in the Badger War to concentrate forces on defending the vital M4 corridor.

Defence analyst Julian Cook said: “The badgers have followed the sinkhole offensive with a series of incursions into Swindon, taking the town street by street.

“The government might want to ask itself if it really believes it can win a ground war in Wiltshire.”

Badger general Nathan Muir said: “For Swindon, badger law is now the only law.

“Reading is next.”
