A PENSIONER accused of sexually abusing two girls in the 1960s has been released on bail by a judge.
Barry Thomas is said to have repeatedly molested the first girl at Lydiard Park and in Wootton Bassett Road between 1966 and 1969.
The 71-year-old is also accused of abusing another girl in the town between 1964 and 1966.
No charges were formally put to Thomas, of Bramble Road, Elgin, and he did not enter any pleas during the hearing, at Swindon Crown Court.
He faces two counts of indecent assault of a girl under 14 and four of indecency with a child.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Friday, January 2, and released Thomas on bail not to contact the complainants.
