Three West Swindon teenagers and a 33-year-old man who had been accused of robbery have had the charges against them dropped.
Tony Williams, two 15-year-olds, and a 17-year-old, were also said to have assaulted the male during an alleged incident earlier this year.
They were due to stand trial before a jury in January but the case was brought back before a judge at Swindon Crown Court so it could be stopped.
And after prosecutors offered no evidence Judge Peter Blair QC entered formal not guilty verdicts on Williams, who lives at a homeless hostel in Oxford, and the boys.
All four had denied robbing a man of a iPhone, car keys, tin of tobacco and glasses as well as common assault on Thursday, May 17.
