NEW Moroccan restaurant Fez is hoping to bring a different taste to Swindon’s culinary offering.

The tapas eaterie, in Wood Street, Old Town, officially opens on Wednesday evening athough it has been opening in the evenings since Christmas to give the public a flavour of its new menu.

Manager Gwynith Tucker said: “We have been opening to gauge opinion.

“ And so far our diners seem to be loving the ambiance of the place, as well as the type of food we serve.

“We know Old Town is a place with a lot of eateries but we feel we are offering something different to what is already here.”

Fez has a team of six staff and hopes to be a mainstay of Old Town for years to come.

Gwynith said: “We are extremely chuffed by the response we have received and we have some big plans for the future.”
