Asian Dub Foundation are a musician's band, sometimes politically active but always musically motivated.

The guys' live soundtrack for the French film La Haine brought the current line-up together, a mix of original members getting back in the ADF saddle, guitarist Steve Svale, Dr Das on bass and Ricky Singh on drums, Ghetto Priest on vocals and the new boys Aktarvata and Nathan Flutebox Lee.

The film is about urban angst and the band performed the soundtrack at London's notorious Broadwater Farm Housing Estate, the site of one of Britain's worst riots.

The band will be purveying their trade of punk rock, electronica, reggae, bhangra and hip hop this weekend at WOMAD in Charlton Park, Malmesbury.

Asian Dub Foundation began more than 20 years ago and over the years have formed a huge following that includes many famous fans such as Primal Scream, Radiohead, Sinead O'Connor and Chuck D.

The musicians are the perfect choice for a world music festival as they perform in some of the most unconventional counties such as Morocco, India, Cuba and Brazil.

Asian Dub Foundation join around 100 acts for WOMAD 2016 including George Clinton ex of Funkadelic and Parliament, giant of African music Baaba Maal, singer/songwriters John Grant and leading UK rapper Roots Manuva.
