FESTIVE fundraising is on the cards this Christmas as the Brighter Futures team urges as many people as possible to sign up for their annual Reindeer Run.

Now in its third year, the 5k fun run will see runners, walkers and joggers don antlers and chase a carrot around Coate Water in a bid to raise cash for the appeal.

More than 500 people took part in last year’s event, raising £21,000 for the appeal. However, the team is looking to double that this time round, promising it will be a run to remember.

It is open to all ages and fancy dress is optional.

It will take place from 10am on Sunday, December 4 at Coate Water Park.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £7.50 for children (under 16). Under 5s go free.

As if the taking part were not enough, the price also includes a pair of antlers and a medal at the end.
