A MAN accused of a stabbing outside Tesco in Ocotal Way is to face trial by judge and jury.
Carl Thomas, 36, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possessing a bladed article when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Thomas, of Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, is said to have stabbed a man in front of shoppers on the evening of Saturday, September 2.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Monday, February 19, and remanded Thomas, who appeared in court by video link, in custody until then.
A 44-year-old man suffered injuries to his chest and arm during the alleged incident, said to have taken place shorty before 10pm on September 2.
