WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a large amount of cash was stolen from a lorry in Swindon.

The incident took place while the lorry was parked on Moredon Road, opposite the row of shops on Blair Parade, at approximately 11.45am on Friday, March 7.

A male suspect was seen loitering around the lorry for a few minutes before entering the cab and removing a white padded envelope which contained almost £2,000 in cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a dark hooded top with a reflective orange worker-style gilet over the top, with black trousers and white trainers.

CCTV stills of a man police would like to speak to in connection with this incident have now been released.

Anyone with information should contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
