10 THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND SWINDON THIS WEEKEND

1. Visit Santa and his Elves at the grotto in the Brunel Centre from 12pm to 5.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday. Entry is £4.50 per child, including visit, present and photo opportunity. Book in advance at brunel.co.uk

2. Charity Christmas Market at Christ Church on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Support more than 40 charities, browse the stalls and much more. 

3. Seventy years of Tanwood will be celebrated at the Wyvern on Saturday, with performances at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are £12, call the Box Office on 01793 524481.

4. Get your Christmas off to a cracking start with Kentwood Show Choir’s Christmas Cracker at the Wyvern on Sunday with performances at 4pm and 8pm. Tickets are £12. To book, contact the Wyvern Theatre Box Office on 01793 524481.

5. Swindon Therapy Centre for M.S. will be holding their first ever Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday from 10am to 2pm at the centre at Bradbury House on Westmead Drive. 6. Absolute Blondie, the ultimate tribute to Blondie & Deborah Harry comes to Riffs Bar on Saturday from 7pm, performing all the big hits, classic album tracks and fan favourites made famous by the iconic band.

7. A Wedding Open Day at Cricklade House will take place on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.  No appointment necessary.

8. Cricklade Twinning Association and Tennis Club will hold a barn dance and hot supper at the town hall on Saturday from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. Tickets are £10, call 01793 750048.

9. Swindon Recital Series concert - Private Joe will be at the Arts Centre on Saturday from 3pm to 5pm.
