The Mayor of Swindon, Coun Teresa Page, and chairman of the trustees Angus Macpherson join homeless people for breakfast at Big Breakfast + at St Luke’s Church Hall in Broad Street
THE Mayor of Swindon joined the homeless for breakfast this week.
Coun Teresa Page paid a visit to the Big Breakfast + initiative at St Luke’s Church Hall in Broad Street.
Big Breakfast + was formerly Broadgreen Breakfast Club and is supported entirely by voluntary donations.
Chairman of the trustees Angus Macpherson said: “We were very pleased to welcome the mayor, who joined our users for breakfast and was able to hear firsthand the challenges the homeless in Swindon have, especially in winter. We provide a hot breakfast six days a week as well as outreach and mental health support.”
