JOBSEEKERS are being urged to dust off their CVs and head down to the Orbital Retail Park on Saturday morning.

North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson, will be hosting a jobs fair with some leading local employers in attendance.

The event will be the first of its kind to be hosted in Mr Tomlinson's new open plan office - located above the customer service office and opposite the North Swindon police point.

He said: "If you or someone you know is seeking a new opportunity, looking for some extra work or wanting to kick-start a new career, then please join me as I host the Orbital Shopping Park's local Jobs Fair this Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

"Employers including Marks and Spencer, McDonald's and Asda will be at the event to share information on current and future vacancies as well as local recruitment agencies who will be advertising jobs both at the Orbital and within the Swindon area.

"There will be information on Christmas temp work as well as long-term opportunities."

Unemployment has fallen by 62 per cent in Swindon since 2010 however employers understand that people are always on the lookout for new opportunities, new working arrangements or perhaps a change of career.

Mr Tomlinson added: "That is great progress but there is still a way to go which is why events such as this hope to provide opportunities for those who are looking for work.

"Please do drop by if you want pick up some information or have a chat with local employers. All are welcome."
