SWINDON Town chairman Lee Power has revealed that he has received an approach from a Scottish Premier League club for out-of-favour midfielder Lee Cox.

Cox has made just one appearance for the Robins this season and has been on the transfer list for the majority of the campaign, and Power thinks the former Inverness man could move on before the end of the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Power said that Town will sit down with Dany N’Guessan early this week to discuss potential moves for the Frenchman, who has scored eight goals in 23 appearances for Swindon since joining the Wiltshire outfit from Millwall over the summer.

“We’ve had an interest. I’ve had a call from a Premier League team in Scotland who have come in for him (Cox),” Power told BBC Wiltshire.

“He’s a super lad, nice kid but there are people in the team he’s finding hard to budge.

“Dany came in and was like a whirlwind when he came in. He’s found himself in and out of the side and has been travelling in from London. We’ve had a number of enquiries from teams asking to take him on loan and we’ll sit down with him next week and see what he wants to do.”

Meanwhile, Power is growing increasingly hopeful that Alex Pritchard will remain a Swindon player through the remainder of the transfer window despite continued interested from several clubs.

The on-loan winger has been tracked by Huddersfield, Wolves and Blackburn – amongst others – for some time and Power had previously feared that the England Under 20 international may slip away from Town this month.

However, with only five days remaining before the window shuts, the Robins’ owner is now starting to take the glass-half-full approach.

He said: “I hope so, I know there’s been a hell of a lot of interest in Pritch. (Tim Sherwood) has kept me informed of that and I’m not sure what stage it’s got to but we’re counting the days. Fingers crossed, it looks like we’re going to be able to keep him until the end of the season.”
