CIRENCESTER Golf Club’s annual senior foursomes was played on Monday, February 17, with Robert Evans and Mike Kirman coming out on top after countback.
In damp conditions, the course stood up well and three pairs ended level after each scoring 39 stableford points.
Neighbours and close friends Evans and Kirman were awarded the title after countback, however, ahead of John Hall and Evan Drayton in second and Keith Greenwood and Colin Gilbert in third.
Former Ciren seniors captain, David Findlay, and Andrew Somerville scored 36 points to come home fourth.
The foursomes trophy was presented to the winners by Mick Barham, who initiated the competition in his senior captain’s year a decade ago.
