Swindon super-middleweight Kelvin Young takes on Czech boxer Tomas Kugler when he returns to the ring on Friday, March 14.
Young faces 32-year-old Kugler over eight rounds at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre although the IBO intercontinental title he won back in December will not be on the line.
Experienced Kugler has 15 wins on his 49-fight record and should pose a tough test for Young.
Young’s promoter-manager Keith Mayo is excited about the fight, saying: “Tomas (Kugler) is a strong lad who has quite a lot of knockouts on his record.
“He keeps coming forward all the time and it will be a tough test for Kelvin.
"Kelvin has reached the level now where every fight is going to be tough but he is training hard and is in great shape, so we are expecting him to add another victory to his record."
The 26-year-old former Penhill amateur shot to fame last year when he beat Alexey Ribchev to lift the IBO intercontinental super-middleweight title. Mayo confirmed he will likely defend that title on his Swindon show in June.
Joining Young on the March 14 bill are fellow Swindonians Ryan Martin, Joe Beeden, Ben Fitch and Lawrence Bennett.
Martin makes his debut against Kevin McCaulley, Beeden faces Kristian Laight, Fitch takes on Joe Walsh while Bennett is still to be matched.
Other match ups on the night see Tariq Quaddas take on Mitch Mitchell, and Freddie Kiwitt face Danny Donchev while Ricky Pow could face Dan Cousins.
Tickets are priced at £30 for unreserved seats and £60 for VIP ringisde seats.
