SWINDON-based cruiserweight Tariq Quaddas will take on debutant Cristian Gomez next Friday night.
The 23-year-old, orginally from Peterborough, has linked up with manager and promoter Keith Mayo and will make his first outing in his new stable at the Oasis Leisure Centre.
Training under Richard Farnan at the Horseshoe Gym in Greenbridge, Quaddas will make his return to the ring for the first time since 2008 when he turned professional under Frank Warren.
The youngster, who is highly rated by both Mayo and Farnan, has had two fights prior to next Friday’s contest.
Yet despite his inactivity over the last six years, Farnan, who also trains IBO Intercontinental supermiddleweight champion Kelvin Young, believes that his new charge has a bright future.
