GOATACRE cricketer Liam Dawson sustained a groin strain while batting for Hampshire against Glamorgan last week, his county has confirmed.
The all-rounder will be out of action while he undergoes what Hants are describing as an "intensive rehabilitation programme".
A statement from the club this afternoon read: "Liam Dawson sustained a left groin strain whilst batting during the NatWest T20 Blast match against Glamorgan at The Ageas Bowl on Friday night (16 May).
"He has had preliminary investigations and will undergo an intensive rehabilitation program to be available as soon as the injury heals.
"There is no estimated time of recovery at this stage."
