Took long enough to call this one off - should have been called off this morning, we all knew what the weather forecast was going to be.
Let's hope Saturday's gets called off as well , might stand a chance next time we are due to race there, we might have a full team,

Beautiful evening - still can't understand why there are still no track covers in the world of UK Speedway ? Match could have gone ahead tonight in perfect conditions !

Totally agree what a joke this sport is and it has not rained since around 3pm so what happened to the days of no rain after 5pm we can get matches on?? do this club have pumps or covers, 2014 more like the dark ages. Kildemand was on his flight here and they then cancel so he has to fly back what a complete farce. Surely a decision could have been made earlier with the projected forecast but I am baffled why more can not be done to get these matches on when watching recent Swedish matches on Eurosport they seem to carry on riding in torrential rain so is their shale better than ours. All the lovely weather we have had seems to indicate we are jinxed on Thursdays. Lets hope the heavens open Saturday evening over Eastbourne.

I agree Di kanny oh. I remember much worse rainfall in the past and we got meetings on. I've turned up early whilst they've still been pumping water off the first bend. What is happening at the Abbey that we can't even get a meeting on when it stops raining in mid-afternoon? I hope they have the SKY covers in place well ahead of Monday night's meeting!
