SWINDON United Churches captain Dan Hunt joined the 350 club after passing the runs milestone between the start of the season and the end of May.

Churches’ secretary David Martin recently handed Hunt a special club cap commemorating the achievement.

“This is particularly noteworthy in view of this season’s weather and the number of cancelled matches,” Martin said. “Dan came to the club as a 12-year-old and it is most rewarding to see consistent hard work resulting in success and achievement.

“Two members of the club were honoured last year, along with other cricketers in the area, with Henry Olonga bowling awards and it is good to see batsmen too gaining recognition.”

Churches take their name from the churches of the town where they began almost a century ago, and now play in Division Two of the Wiltshire County League at their ground in Sevenhampton.

New players, whether or not they have any association with church, are welcome at nets held throughout the season.
