Michael Ngoo is understood to be a loan target for Swindon Town

SWINDON Town could turn to Michael Ngoo to fill the void left by the imminent departure of Nile Ranger from the County Ground.

The Advertiser understands Town have held preliminary discussions with Liverpool regarding the potential loan transfer of the 21-year-old and chairman Lee Power is due to talk with the Premier League giants again today as he looks to bolster his strikeforce.

Ngoo, signed by the Reds from Southend United in 2009, has scored five senior goals in 23 appearances spread over loan stints with Hearts and Yeovil Town but has yet to turn out for his parent club.

The towering centre forward enjoyed a prolific spell in the Liverpool under 18 side during the 2010/11 season, where he finished as the club’s second top scorer with 15 goals. Since then he has been selected as part of the England squad for the Under 20 World Cup in Columbia in 2011.

In January last year Ngoo was sent out on loan to Scottish Premier League outfit Hearts where he made 16 appearances, scoring five goals.

Last summer he was given the chance in the Championship by joining Yeovil on a season-long deal but was sent back to Anfield just three months into his stay at Huish Park. During his brief time in Somerset, Ngoo played seven games – five of which came as a substitute – but failed to score.

6' 6" and cost Liverpool 250k from Southend as a youngster, and only just 21, but his season long loan at Yeovil was cancelled after only three months. He has the size and allegedly some skill. Certainly has the physical attributes we need, and good to see us scouting for young talent. Let's hope he fits in and does well. Two promising signings in two days.

Same as before Jock - I never said that particular individual was full of it, I never said he was correct, I just said I couldn't have faith in any "inside info" he provided because we don't know who he is and therefore we don't know how he's getting the info. Very simple.

It's not a question of being smug it's about being fair and giving credit where it's due. So he was also wrong about Crouch and Power coming on board as well then was he? He's got more right than he's got wrong IMO. Come on Chish I think it's about time you accepted that Fredi is either in the know firsthand or is receiving information that is generally kosher don't you?

It's not a question of being smug it's about being fair and giving credit where it's due. So he was also wrong about Crouch and Power coming on board as well then was he? He's got more right than he's got wrong IMO. Come on Chish I think it's about time you accepted that Fredi is either in the know firsthand or is receiving information that is generally kosher don't you?
If anyone hasn't had the chance to read the post from Oxon-red listing all of Fredi's post since April, it can be found on the article from 2 days ago on "the Barker to complete in 48 hours".

I found it very enlightening and given the unfolding of events of late it does throw some light as to maybe why McCorey tweeted that Lee has banned him from attending matches.

Problem with Miles is that he is to injury prone. Check out his stats and he has missed a lot of games through injury. He also said recently that he was not 100% fit at Salisbury.

Same as before Jock - I never said that particular individual was full of it, I never said he was correct, I just said I couldn't have faith in any "inside info" he provided because we don't know who he is and therefore we don't know how he's getting the info. Very simple.
Surely you have to concede given the sound snippets that he has imparted that whoever he is he is in the know? Who he is or what he is, is immaterial surely?
Jock - I have a suspicion it is some minor back-room staff person that possibly overhears snippets of conversations. Trouble is Chinese Whispers can be dangerous as he/has proved already with duff information. This is my thought and no proof.
Sorry, going to contradict what I said in my last post by adding another...

Chish - absolutely agree with that sentiment and it's what I've thought all along (i.e. possibly an employee with an axe to grind). Interestingly as much as concerns were raised by him/her over Power, him/her has come back and not been nearly so critical since Power actually took charge.

Chinese whispers can indeed be dangerous. Also as I've said I don't believe he/she is a supporter of the club for reasons I've gone into previously, and I don't see it as "immaterial" who they are, as who a person is determines to a large extent what message they try to give, and the motivations behind it.

Anyway, enough of all that bull ox - only thing that matters for now is Saturday as it seems a hell of a long time since our last match. Let's try to enjoy the football eh? Anyone from outside reading this would fast thing town have the most neurotic supporters in the football league.

Don, on which social media were the names of Stephen Crouch, Lee Power, Martin King and Tommy Agombar? And the consultancy payments made to the then new owners when the club was supposed to be slashing costs because it was short of cash? Or maybe this was all lucky guesswork?

We are indebted to Oxon for his reproduction yesterday of all fredi's posts, which served to underline the insight he's provided. fredi would need to be both genius and psychic to make all that stuff up - and I doubt that he'd claim to be either of those things. Of course some of it has not turned out to be perfectly true (potential buyers pulling out of transfer deals might be one explanation). The exact course of events can never be predicted.

I really do struggle to see why some people refuse to give the bloke credit for letting us know what was going on. So we don't know who he is and some people are suspicious of his motives. I see no reason for such suspicion but why does any of that matter?
If someone broke into my house and and I was given an accurate identification of the burglar, the motive of the informant wouldn't change the fact that I'd been burgled. And no, that is not a suggestion of criminal activity on the part of anyone associated with STFC.

I've just read through Oxon's posts, an excellent read.

I was a doubting Thomas but happy to concede Fredi clearly has inside knowledge as a lot of detail was or has come true, too much to be coincidence. Still reads as a grudge against Jed though, I'm sure the Fired / Fredi aspect has some truth.

Good news if we sign Ngoo, a big target man is an essential outlet to stop us getting penned back in our half away from home.

Hi Chaps,

I didn't spend hours searching threads for his posts I simply entered "Fredi Jed" into Google. The York Press website listed all the info for me. In fact you can replace Fredi with "Jockster" or "Oxon Red" or Oi Den" and cringe at what you have posted !!!!!! Don't know if there is a bug in the website but it was useful :-)

Den, names don't need to be on social media as people visit places i.e. CG. A quick "Who is that" and Bob's your Uncle, Yeovil is not far from Swindon and it seemed from the speed of developments yesterday that the Brighton lad had been here before !

Malk, I think I would go 80;20 in saying I believe most of what Fredi has posted has credence and with the emergence of the new owners, we probably won't hear so much from him unless there are real concerns to the future of the club. It does worry me there seems to be rumours of a lot of creditors that were not paid by the lot that bought the club for a £1 and left with 5 figure amounts in consultancy and finders fees, it sounds like Lee has an almighty mess to clean up before the start of next season. Pity the diplomat that was supposed to have sold the club for Black, didn't do a very good job if the most he could get was accept a pound. If he had spoken with Power and Crouch directly from the start, i doubt we would even be having these discussions.

It would be nice if the results of the audit done by SS was published as promised and then maybe the doubters and the believers would find some common ground based on indisputable financial facts.

fredi comes on this site for a number of reasons which only he knows. I can see the following possibilities based on what I read.
1. Give legitimate updates on whats going on at the club.
2. Offer match reports
3.Relieve their own boredom
4.Seem important to other supporters
5. Irritate and annoy others
6. Make a name for themselves
7. Take the micky out of the players
8. Take the micky out of other correspondents
9. Start an honest debate
10. Damage the reputation of the club and players
11. Organise their social life
12. Exchange ideas about the club
13. Make a bloody nuisance of themselves.

The list goes on. I quite like 1 & 2 but admit to trying number 13 sometimes too. As for fredi - no better or worse than anyone else and I suspect there's a lot of number 4.

For my part, would probably fall into number 2 and 3 - to discuss the previous/upcoming match, to listen to and offer opinions about the articles on here (players coming and going etc), but also quite often for something to do when I'm bored in all honesty.

There aren't really that many wind up merchants on the site, sure most are genuine people, it's just empty vessels making the most noise (talking in general terms here and that isn't directed at anyone in particular).

Most that come on here fall into one of two camps as I see it - those that regularly watch the town play and discuss performances on the pitch and general goings on at the club, and those who don't go to matches regularly (or for whatever reason, hardly ever) and come on because it's a way of keeping up with what's going on, asking those who've seen a game for their assessment of it, etc. I don't believe there are many that come on purely to wind people up, however obviously with people holding different view and sometimes not expressing them diplomatically enough, there will be fallings out. Just have to remember we're only talking, and it's not (or shouldn't be) personal - you can disagree with and argue a point of view without taking it out on the person themselves.

I know for a Fact that the trust were given some very serious evidence to back up a lot of what Fredi said, he also provided info to the adver, nothing was done because it could have damaged the relationship with the new owners and fans, it could also put off future sponsors and the meetings that ensued showed that the people in charge at that time had the best interest of the club at heart and revelations would have damaged us and stopped progress. If this third party info was correct and not just fictional then IMO it was the right thing to do.

My own worry is that some of the other hearsay that I have been told isn't good and led to Jed leaving because of finances not being managed.

It's not a question of being smug it's about being fair and giving credit where it's due. So he was also wrong about Crouch and Power coming on board as well then was he? If anyone hasn't had the chance to read the post from Oxon-red listing all of Fredi's post since April, it can be found on the article from 2 days ago on "the Barker to complete in 48 hours".

I found it very enlightening and given the unfolding of events of late it does throw some light as to maybe why McCorey tweeted that Lee has banned him from attending matches.
So OTR/Oxon - I've looked/scanned through the posts (admittedly a very scant glimpse due to the sheer volume of text) - what do we(you both) deduce? That Fredi has been right more than he been wrong or vice versa?0

Understood. We often discuss the Spurs alliance but nobody ever seems to mention the strong Brighton connection that's been apparent since the change of STFC ownership early last year. Could it be that there was already a strong Spurs-Brighton connection and we have piggy backed on that? Or maybe Stephen Crouch (based in Brighton) has some clout at BHA? Just wondering.

Perhaps den power can have a quite word with Bha about one of our players, I'm sure Alan Navarro would relish a chance to play for them lol.
Yeah good point looks like we have a close relationship with them with Williams having a big impact

A centre back should be a priority, even if Branco comes good that still only leaves us three natural centre halves and considering two of those have been involved in every game of the season so far they'll eventually get injured or lack match fitness.

So OTR/Oxon - I've looked/scanned through the posts (admittedly a very scant glimpse due to the sheer volume of text) - what do we(you both) deduce? That Fredi has been right more than he been wrong or vice versa?0

Get a grip chaps!this info has been out there on social media for weeks,Freda just follows social media and Ngoo was a flop at Yeovil Johnson didn't rate him!he thought our Wilma was better!don't say much for him chaps!lol!!!!!!!!!!

You are right Den, it is interesting that fredi's posts have changed since Jed has gone. He seems to me to be much more positive about the future. Regarding the audit statement, it looks like Lee Power ordered the audit and we wait to see if anything shows up that instigated the removal of Murrell and Jed leaving the club, someone has posted that Jed is not welcome at the club. If true it seems odd to me. Clearly fredi's beef was mainly concerning Jed's activities and I await the audit statement with with interest.

A centre back should be a priority, even if Branco comes good that still only leaves us three natural centre halves and considering two of those have been involved in every game of the season so far they'll eventually get injured or lack match fitness.
I was wondering about our defense in this Birmingham game the other day it was two teams 45 mins each so who played when and who conceded the three goals. If Branco and Troy played one half and never conceded then may be Coops has plenty to think about but there is little info on who did what and for hos long, anyone???
Back to this fredi I mean thread, I feel most are getting carried away with all this who said what bowlocks as its taken over the thread of the possible signing of Rangers replacement. Looks a very good job of trying to get like for like in my view and could be a great capture. Who cares what fredi says as he is nobody until he reveals just who he is and his sources. Could be an ex employee with an axe to grind but to be honest I do not give a tosss who he is and just wish we could have our forum back. Sorry but just my opinion.

Hold my hand up and say he got this one right. .... there is a but though Jock, still waiting for the 75% of all the other forecasts and accusations to be proved correct.. so I wouldn't be too smug yet Jock :o)[/p]
It's not a question of being smug it's about being fair and giving credit where it's due. So he was also wrong about Crouch and Power coming on board as well then was he? He's got more right than he's got wrong IMO. Come on Chish I think it's about time you accepted that Fredi is either in the know firsthand or is receiving information that is generally kosher don't you?[/p]
If anyone hasn't had the chance to read the post from Oxon-red listing all of Fredi's post since April, it can be found on the article from 2 days ago on "the Barker to complete in 48 hours". I found it very enlightening and given the unfolding of events of late it does throw some light as to maybe why McCorey tweeted that Lee has banned him from attending matches.[/p]
So OTR/Oxon - I've looked/scanned through the posts (admittedly a very scant glimpse due to the sheer volume of text) - what do we(you both) deduce? That Fredi has been right more than he been wrong or vice versa?0[/p]
It doesn't matter !.[/p]
Who started this fredi debate today?[/p]
Er..........you did Grim, first post of the day "nice one fredi"[/p]
Earn yourself a gold star o/t/r lol 3 words starts a great debate[/p]
Yes Grim, you are really great! Firstly we bought Bedwell from the red Scouse, so are we the spurs/Brighton/Liver

Secondly if Power was always going to buy us - he had an option from Jed, why didn't he just buy us? Bit odd if you ask me. But that said so far on player recruitment I think he's doing a great job.

Can't wait for Saturday.....

Dire what a mess the Hammers are in another hiding and the gulf between the two teams is quite scary. Can only see relegation with this manager in charge just no go at all in the players. Feel sorry for the Hammers keeper has done little wrong and the goals have been almost impossible to stop. Ok lots of unforeseen injuries but body language of the players is shockingly poor and fear the worst for Big Sam. I wonder If Mr Di Canio is waiting in the wings.

Chish - supplier bills weren't being paid - Fact! Confirmed by numerous other posters & Murrell before he left-It is therefore feasible that the lecky bill was part of that job lot!

Until Bournemouth found Camp in a lucky bag for nothing Wes was well on Howe's radar and my original post was well before it became known they were after Camp. If you want to nit pick wearing your rose tinted whilst sat in your armchair with your head in the sand as usual or 75% of it as I know you like that figure-:) then let's just say it was almost a done deal. Things change very quickly at football clubs as we know and if you want further evidence I suggest you take a look at Harry Redknapp's autobiography (you can order a copy from the library!) it's an excellent read and he gives more than on example of how he has been gazumped at the last minute when trying to sign a player. It also features a hilarious reference to Pdc ala west ham flying to a game - Il Duce hates flying!
Case proven m'lord! Any chance you'll actually make a game before the end of the season?
