STRUGGLING Troy Batchelor is scheduled to take part in the third and final round of the Australian Championship today.

The Swindon Robins man has been struggling with a knee ligament injury and has had an MRI scan which he is waiting on the results of.

The 2013 champion faces an uphill task to defend his title, given that he needs to win today’s event at Gillman and hope that others fail to produce their best form.

Former world champion Chris Holder and Swindon asset Jason Doyle are hotly-tipped to fight it out for the national title.
