SWINDON Town striker Dany N’Guessan has been made available for a loan transfer away from the County Ground.

The Advertiser understands the Robins have notified Football League clubs that N’Guessan, who only arrived in Wiltshire on an initial one-year contract following his release by Millwall in the summer, is free to move on a temporary basis during the current transfer window.

Swindon have recruited Michael Smith and George Barker so far in January, meaning an increased competition for places in the striking department for the Robins.

Interested clubs now have until transfer deadline day next Friday, January 31 to make their move for the ex-Leicester hitman, while the next emergency loan window opens on February 8.

N’Guessan made an impressive start to life in Swindon, scoring eight times in his first 18 appearances for the club.

However, his last goal came in the 3-1 victory over Carlisle United on November 30 and the frontman has since been plagued by injury and illness.

He has featured just five times for the Robins in December and January.

In total N’Guessan has played 23 times for the Robins, scoring eight goals.
