SWINDON Supermarine will bid to make it three league wins on the spin for the first time this season when they host Wantage Town on Boxing Day.

Goals from Ryan Stanners and Jake Simpson helped Dave Webb’s side triumph 2-0 at Yate Town last Saturday, while Sholing were crushed 5-2 at the Webb’s Wood Stadium eight days ago.

Marine will start as strong favourites to continue their charge towards the right end of the Southern League Division 1 South & West table against third-from-bottom Wantage.

The Oxfordshire outfit have collected just one point from the last available 24 and fell to a 5-0 home hammering at the hands of North Leigh last time out.

Meanwhile, Chippenham Town chief Mark Collier has promised to make changes to his team following last weekend’s 5-0 thrashing in the Premier Division.

The Bluebirds travel to Paulton Rovers looking for a swift return to form following the embarrassing collapse at Bideford.

Matt Coup is fit to return for Town after injury but Collier will give late fitness tests to Jordan Roberts, James Guthrie, Conor McCormack and Alex Ferguson ahead of the trip to Winterfield Road.

“It’s a game we are looking forward to as we try to get back to form from what was a very poor game last weekend,” said Collier.

“We need to make changes but we need people available to be able to do that. I’d like to get more people back fit if we can.

“Matt Coup is available again and that’s very good news for us as we need all the experience and ability he brings to the table.

“We’ve got a big squad and if I was a player not involved in the last game I’d probably be thinking there’s a chance for me to play on Boxing Day.”
