The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) has announced it has reduced the cost of camping for guests joining them for this summer's event after revealing there will be a Nordic flavour to this year's displays.

Taking place from Friday, July 14 until Sunday, July 16 the show will star the Red Arrows, a Lancaster Heavy Bomber and four Spitfires among an impressive line-up of international visitors.

Last week the organisers announced that the Finnish Air Force Midnight Hawks as the latest international guests to join the line-up, making a welcome return to the Air Tattoo 13 years after their last appearance.

This makes them the fourth national aerobatic team to confirm its participation after the RAF Red Arrows, US Air Force Thunderbirds and Switzerland's Patrouille Suisse, and will see the Midnight Hawks will participate in the event with its formation of four British Aerospace Hawk Mk.51 jet trainers.

This week the air show has announced it has reduced its camping rates for those wishing to make a weekend of it and sleep under canvas.

A RIAT spokesman said: "Since launching our official campsite, provided by Tangerine Fields, we have reviewed the pricing structure and have made the decision to reduce the price for Saturday, July 15. The camping pass has now been reduced by £10 to £30 per person and the campervan pass has also been reduced by £10 to £40 per person. "Those that have already booked for Saturday have been personally notified and refunded."

A camping pass for Tuesday to Thursday is currently £10 per person per night, £20 for Friday and Sunday and £30 for Saturday. Under 16s can camp for free.

The Air Tattoo Official Campsite is located five minutes' walk from the yellow pedestrian entry.
