BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg said it was a privilege to host the concert, adding: “Sir Terry was, in my eyes, the ultimate broadcaster. A friend to millions on his radio show and a hero to millions more through his work with Children In Need. It’s an absolute honour to be asked to be part of the concert. It’s going to be a brilliant night.”

Sir Terry was life president of the BBC charity with which he was involved for more than 30 years.

Performances aside, the concert will feature archive material such as one of the popular Radio 2 Janet and John stories which Sir Terry frequently read on his Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
