Avebury Rocks - a 20 mile sponsored walk culminating in an evening of music near the Avebury Stones - has just announced its headline act.

Brit Award nominee and Glastonbury regular Newton Faulkner will be taking centre stage on the night to perform hits such as Dream Catch Me and Teardrop from his top 5 album Hand Built By Robots.

Other acts on the night include musicians Nick Harper and Mike Peters (lead singer of The Alarm) who will be playing after completing the 20 mile trek across the Ridgeway with fellow Prospect supporters.

The Fundraising event for Prospect Hospice, which takes place on Saturday 9 July, has been organised by the Rotary Clubs of Marlborough and Swindon Thamesdown and the Love Hope Strength Foundation. The event also includes a shortened 6 mile route and everyone who registers to take part in either event will receive free entry into the evening entertainment in Avebury.
