Blunsdon 2nd Brownies have started their new term after the Summer Break. This small Brownie pack meet on Thursday evenings and enjoy all their is to love about being part of an international group of girls who love to play, glue, run, sing, share, laugh, paint, read, invent, cook, design, care their way through the meeting!
Sadly there is a waiting list of at least another 20 Brownies who would like to join these 10 girls each week. The village hall is well equipped and there is so much potential for growth. Ann Lewis - mum to two of the Brownies took on the role of leader to avoid the pack having to close completely. This year is the 100th year of Guiding and to lose the only Brownie pack in the village would have been such a shame. The only way it is able to run now is with a parent helper on a rota basis each week. What is really needed is another leader on a regular basis each week. For more information Ann can be contacted via Swindon Advertiser. Security checks and some training is involved.
Based on information supplied by Ann Lewis.
