St Mark's tennis centre in Whitehouse Road is officially open for the summer holidays. With resident coach Phil Kerley on hand for lessons and advice, there really is no excuse for a feeble forehand.
St Mark's has full-size and mini courts available to hire. The courts are open Monday to Friday from 10am until 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 6pm. The cost per court per hour is £3 for juniors (15 years and under), £5 for SwindonCard holders and £6 for non-SwindonCard holders.
Coaching sessions for children are being run on weekdays until Friday 28th August. Lessons for 5-7 year olds are from 11am until 12pm, and for children 8 years old and over lessons are from 12.30pm until 1.30pm. Each session costs £2 per child.
Equipment is available to hire or buy and hot and cold drinks and snacks are available from the kiosk.
Opening times may vary due to weather and light conditions.
For more information or to pre-book a court telephone 07972 778138 or visit www.swindon.gov.uk/tennis.
