11th Swindon All Saints' Cubs Receive Awards

Members of the 11th Swindon All Saints' cub pack received their silver and bronze awards at a special 'moving on' ceremony to mark their progression from the local cub pack to the scout troop.

Fred Bassett, chair of Swindon North, attended the event to hand out the special awards to the boys.

The cubs were then tied to a rope and hauled across the ground to join their fellow scouts.

For anyone interested in joining local scouting, the groups meet during the school term on a Friday. Beavers and cubs meet in the Ferndale Community Primary School KS2 hall with beavers at 6-7.30pm and cubs from 7.30-9pm. Scouts meet in the scout hut in Southbrook Street from 7.30-9pm.
