AMERICAN film buffs could soon be lapping up scenes of vigilante violence in Swindon.

Vinson Pike, of Moredon, spent three years and £100,000 shooting scenes for his film Antisocial Behaviour, around Swindon.

Now his film company has secured a US distribution deal and the DVD has gone on sale on Amazon. com.

Antisocial Behaviour is about a vigilante, Jakob Kelser, who decides to teach the unruly youths on his council estate a brutal lesson.

The movie was the first independent feature film shot entirely in Swindon.

Vince said: "The American distributors are describing it as an "English Death Wish without guns."

"Anti-social behaviour tells the story of a lonely man who is menaced by a gang of youths.

"The police are powerless to act so he takes the law into his own hands.

"The film ultimately asks the question: In this day and age of spiralling anti-social behaviour who is the more guilty of committing it - the antagonist or the protagonist?"

DVDs of Antisocial Behaviour are now selling on Amazon. com, one of the world's biggest online film sellers.

Details about the film have also been entered onto movie fan site IDMB. com.

Since the listing appeared last month the film has received an eight out of 10 star rating.
