Hillier Bereavement Care are very proud to report once again a very large attendance at their Service for bereaved people, which was held on Sunday 10th October.

Mr and Mrs Mark Hillier were in attendance with members of their family, and they began the opening of the Service by lighting the Pascal candle accompanied by a reading.

Vicar of Christ Church, Simon Stevenette kindly led the Service after running the half marathon in Swindon that morning, and achieving his personal best time. He dedicated his run to the memory of his Mother. Reverend Doctor John Railton gave the address this year.

Everyone present added Autumn leaves to the banner in remembrance of their loved ones, and received a small bunch of Rosemary to take away. Readings and poems were read by Margaret Price, Margaret Goddard, Gillian Wilsdon and Judith Hill.

Thamesdown Ladies Choir generously sang 3 items during the Service, and Wroughton Silver Band also supported this event by playing throughout, as they have every year since this event began.

A retiring collection raised money for Samaritans and Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool.

A lovely afternoon tea followed the moving Service and Hillier "Parent's Together" Group members displayed the needlework, Quilt of Remembrance which they have recently begun in memory of their children who have died.
