Operation Christmas Child - shoebox appeal

Purton residents turned out in force on Saturday 30 October to assist with the filling of shoe-boxes as part of this year's Operation Christmas Child appeal. This year's target was to fill 300 shoe-boxes. Sylvia Freemantle has co-ordinated the village's efforts throughout the year, both in terms of raising the necessary funds and preparing the shoe-boxes for despatch. She said "Not only is it a good cause, but we all had great fun as well."
