The Christmas season has truly kicked off at St Augustine's Church in Summers Street!
On Wednesday 15th December at 7.30 pm, there is a Christmas Concert by Makin’ MuZic, raising money for local charities. The amateur choir is made up of staff from Zurich and Capita.
There will be plenty of opportunity to join in the singing! Refreshments will also be available. There is no charge for entry, but there will be a retiring collection with a suggested donation of £5.
On the following Sunday, 19th December, at 6.00pm the church will be holding its traditional Carol Service, with lots of favourite carols and re-telling the Christmas Story through the words of the bible.
On Christmas Eve, there are two services - the popular Crib Service at 6.00pm is for children young and old. There are lots of songs and carols, the Nativity Play and the Blessing of the Crib. At 11.30pm, there is Midnight Mass - again, with well-known carols and a very special atmospheric service - a wonderful way to welcome in Christmas morning.
All are welcome at any services and events. More details about the church and its activities can be found at www.staugustines-swindon.co.uk.
