Swindon Walcot and Parks Community Group brightening up Buckhurst Field

Swindon Walcot and Parks Community group joined forces with Mountford Manor Primary School pupils, Goddard Park Community Primary School pupils and the local Neighbourhood Wardens to build and plant up some planters around five newly planted Ash Trees on the Chickerell Road side of Buckhurst Field. SWAP found funding for the materials, Midge Hall Nurseries donated lots of annuals and on Thursday July 14th the planters were enthusiasticly built and planted up. It is hoped that the colour of the plants will brighten the area for some months to come. SWAP are hoping to plant them up again in the Autumn with some Spring flowering bulbs to keep the area alive with cheerful colour.
