Wine tasting helps Samaritans
4:01pm Monday 29th September 2008 in Wanborough News
THERE'S more wine tasting on offer coming up.
An event celebrating 40 years of the Samaritans in Swindon is being held at King Edward's House, Wanborough which will feature drinks and canapes.
Organised in conjunction with staff volunteers from Zurich, wine lovers will be able to sample a selection of red and white wines as well as dessert wine and port and get expert guidance on them.
"This promises to be a great evening with the chance for people to sample some fantastic wines as well as learn more about different grape varieties and vintages.
"Whether a complete novice or a self styled connoisseur, the evening offers something for everyone and will raise money for a worthwhile local charity at the same time, said Brian Saunders of Magnum Wine Shop in Wood Street, Swindon.
Tickets for the event at King Edward's House, Wanborough, on September 25 at 7pm are £25, with every penny raised going straight to Swindon Samaritans.
For companies looking to support the charity, there are still places left to sponsor one of the evening's wines for just £100.
