The next meeting of Chiseldon Local History Group is on Wednesday, 16th May at 7.30pm in the Holy Cross Church Hall, Butts Road, Chiseldon.
Our speaker is archaeologist Jim Leary from English Heritage, who will talk about Silbury Hill and the Marlborough Mound. Recent investigations have provided a lot of new information - so prepare to be fascinated! Visitors are always welcome at our meetings at a charge of £2.00.
Chiseldon Museum in The Old Chapel, Butts Road, is open on Saturday, May19th from 11.00am to 3.00pm. It will also be open on June 2nd and June 16th. This year, we are featuring exhibits from Class 4 at Chiseldon Primary School, ‘Alfred Williams in Chiseldon’, the latest on the Cauldrons, and ‘Royal Events in Chiseldon’. Admission is free.
