The life of Swindon can be different every day,
Famous for the Great Western Railway.
  For day time we’ve got,
Designer Outlet, Oasis, Link and Shaw Ridge,
But for the night life we’ve got,
Liquid, Bushwackers, SUJU and don’t forget our Old Town,
  For something to eat there’s,
Subway, Rendezvous, Longs and the Jewel in the Crown,
We’ve had many stars come from Swindon,
Billie Piper, Nick Hewer and Melinda Messenger,
But then we’ve got upcoming stars like,
BeatBullyz and Daine, all from Swindon,
We’ve had stars visiting Swindon like,
N-Dubz, Alexandra Burke, Plan B and the Radio 1 Big Weekend,
Now we can’t forget our local football team,
We went to Wembley but got knocked down,
But what hurts only makes us stronger,
Next time we will come back fighting for our trophy,
  Needles found on the floor,
  Not good for children,
  Got gangsters around the streets,
Hoods up, acting hard, intimidating the old,
Known for the widely spread culture,
With the bad comes the good,
Education, Swindon College, New College, Ridgeway full with talent,
Don’t let others put you down,
  If you’ve got a dream,
And your heart is in it,
Don’t let others put you down,
You can do it one day,
  Nothing is impossible,
  Live life to the full,
  You only live once,
Your home town is where you were born,
  Be proud of it,
  Come on, Swindon!

When we first met, I knew you were worth keeping,
We started to talk and text more and more each day and came closer as friends.
We shared the unthinkable with each other,
And opened our hearts to each other.
I gave you everything I had and everything I knew.
It was only a few months down the line I knew I had the best friendship I could wish for.
