Ridgeway displays its talent

I’m Ed. I’m a year 8 and I was in the gym and dance display last year and the exciting thing is that you have a display of: Trampolining, Different types of dancing and vaulting. Students dress up in fun outfits and wear really crazy make up. All years get involved.

The gym and dance display is where you get over one hundred people doing different types of gymnastics, dancing, trampolining and vaulting. It is a Ridgeway tradition and we are very proud of the talent here.

The staff that helped do it were Mr Hill, Mr Driver, Miss Corkett, Mrs Hodge and Miss Blackler.

It is held once every year in the evening for pupils and their family to come and watch. It is always a spectacular event, which everyone really enjoys.

When the tickets are available you can get them from key stage office and from the reception and the P.E department.

I chose to do it because I went to vaulting and if you did vaulting then you could go to that if you went to the vaulting club and the auditions. I really enjoyed it and I will do it every year until I leave school. Auditions for the gym and dance display 2012 are taking place at the moment and I am looking forward to being part of it again!
