It was a great season for Shaw but it was hard to get there. It all started as we beat Stratton Juniors 5-0, Thomas Stagg scored 2 amazing goals and Ben Hicks scored another two, then star striker Joshua Young scored 1.

After that they won another 2 games on the trot but they began to loose momentum and lost 3 games one after the other.

In the cup match they lost 8-2 despite the opponents being in division 1.

However Luke Carter scored a wonder goal from the half-way line and then Thomas Stagg scored from an outstanding 37-Yards.

Back in the league they won against Highworth town juniors 1-0 to secure first place at the top of the table with 12 points and 4 points clear of Ramsbury.

The next game was against Ferndale Rodbourne Rovers and won 3-1 Thomas Stagg scored another goal to take his tally to 10 goals.

Then Shaw FC faced there biggest challenge yet Ramsbury FC they battled hard but Shaw went 1-0 down in the first half and then Ramsbury went 2-0 up after only 6 minutes into the second half.

Luckily Thomas Stagg got a goal back but Ramsbury quickly cancelled out Shaw’s goal and scored, they thought they were going to win until Thomas Stagg got another two goals to equalize and score his Hat-Trick and the end score went on to draw 3-3 in what was a very explosive game and again there next game was against Ramsbury again but lost 1-0 but there goal went through the side of the net and the assistant Shaw coach wrote a letter but didn’t make much of an impact to the score.

Another week later they had Ferndale Rodbourne Lions and they thrashed them 6-0 and the star player Daniel Hawson kept another clean sheet Thomas Stagg scored another 4 goals and Joshua Young got 2 more goals.

It was the last game of the season and Shaw wanted to finish on a high note and that is exactly what they did. They won 12-1 Thomas Stagg got 6 assists and 4 goals, Joshua Stevens got 6 goals, Kyle Gin scored 2, to complete the 12-1 win.

After that Shaw’s players and parents went to The Brampton’s and the players played football they also played in the Heated Swimming pool!!!

On the 12th of May 2012 Shaw FC went to the county ground to collect their awesome trophies and moved up a Division On the 20th of May the team go back to the ground for the six-aside tournament.
