OKAY, so I've been going through one of my non-reading phases over the last couple of weeks, hence the lack of posts on here.

However, as the weather has started to warm up my icy approach to books has melted - although Adam Beade still leaves me completely frozen so I've quietly shoved him back on my bookshelf and started on Touching The Void, by Joe Simpson.

It is the true story of climbers Joe and Simon Yates who tackle a mountain, only for disaster to strike and the events that follow.

My friend lent me her copy of the book after a discussion in the pub with my boyfriend is into climbing.

Most people have either read the book or seen the film so know what happens but just in case, I won't spoil it for you.

All I will say is that the accident has happened, followed by the thing that everybody knows about, and I'm currently in suspense waiting to see what the latest twist is.

I think Adam Beade will be gathering dust again for a while.
