A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers by Xiaolu Guo

THE next meeting of Swindon Artswords Reading Group will take place at 7.30pm Tuesday 21st April – A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers by Xiaolu Guo - languages mean different understandings, especially between lovers. In fact, different languages can lead to misunderstandings but also clarifications and explorations! The meeting is at Lower Shaw Farm, Old Shaw Lane, West Swindon, SN5 5PJ. The cost is £2 per session.

Pulsar evening features American poet

The next Pulsar 'live-microphone' performance poetry (and music) evening will be held at The Goddard Arms, Clyffe Pypard village, near Swindon, Wiltshire, on Thursday 12th March, 2009 from 8.00 pm until closing time. Note: the evening will also feature special guest touring American poet, Harold Webster. All are welcome to attend this free of charge event and read their own poems, or poems of choice, to a friendly audience. A P.A. system will be provided by Pulsar. However, you don't have to read poems, why not come along to soak up the ambience. We may even do some filming, for Pulsar web videos, (for willing participants only, not mandatory).
