Enter Pulsar's poetry competition


Pulsar poetry group has announced details of its 2008/09 poetry competition.

Budding poets are welcome to submit poems of not more than 40 lines, on any subject.

The competition is open to everyone over 16 and the prizes are £125 for first place, £75 for second and £50 for third place.

Winning and recommended poems will be published in the September 2009 edition of Pulsar Poetry Magazine, ISSN 1361-2336, and will also be published on web www.pulsarpoetry.com A free copy of the edition in question will be sent to every poet mentioned/published within.

Rules:
1. Entries must be the poet’s own work, which has not previously been published in print, on-line or currently submitted for another competition. All entries must be legible; typed A4 sheets preferred.

2 Entry Fee: £2.50 first poem, subsequent poems £1.00 each. Minimum entry fee £2.50. Cheques/postal orders should be made payable to ‘Ligden Poetry Society.’ No entry form required. Send legible poems with an attached note clearly defining the competitor’s name, address, and telephone number/e-mail address, and stating, ‘Pulsar Poetry Competition Entry.’ Send to: Poetry Competition Administrator, Pulsar Poetry Magazine, 34 Lineacre, Grange Park, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN5 6DA, UK.

3 Entries will not be returned. Competitors wishing to receive a list of winners should send a small stamped addressed return envelope marked, ‘RESULTS.’ 4 The decision of the adjudicator is final, no correspondence will be entered into. Copyright: originators retain copyright of their poems.

5 Closing date for entries is 30th April 2009. Results will be announced to winners/media/interested parties during May 2009. Please photocopy this Dear Allinformation, as required.
